Hello everyone! Let me just catch you up on what has been going on this past week. On Wednesday I met my new doctor at Shriners Hospital for Children (my old one retired last month) and she is such a lovely person! She evaluated me for herself, I told her a little about me and how me and my old doctor have been discussing surgery options for the past year or so. She gave me her input on what she would do if I chose to do surgery, explains pros and cons and the usual important doctor stuff. I left the appointment, got new x-rays of my feet, and left debating whether or not surgery was what I really wanted to do. That being said and since I have been thinking about surgery for the past year, I've deciding that I am going to go through with it. It will be on my right foot and they will be going in to correct my ankle and toes. It'll be a long process and i have a lot of mixed feelings about it but in the long run it'll only help me and make things easier. I plan to call tomorrow and schedule it, rough idea it'll be mid-march.
Now what you've been waiting for and what I've been very impatiently waiting for is about Hobbs!! The woman I've been talking to about him, Colleen, has been so nice! Today she went to pick him up and see if he would be the right size for me. Sadly he is not. But she says she has a lead on another dog that she'll look into next week! Although I'm pretty bummed that Hobbs isn't the one, he sounds so adorable, I'm confident that the right pupper will come sooner than later!
If anyone wants to know more about the surgery feel free to contact me!
Well...good for you...and how brave. If there is anything that I can do to help please let me know. Grandma Cindy
