Hello, everyone! This whole time I've been doing nothing but what the doctor has told me to do, recover! Let me tell you being stuck in a house for roughly a month can get to you. I have my moments of craziest but for the most part, this healing process has gone by fairly quickly overall! Monday is the day that I go back in for pin removal; I am super excited and a little nervous. One of the things I am most excited for is to be able to get back on my feet again although I know not to push myself and take it slow. Nervous for the actual process of taking the pins out, I have no idea what to expect which is always freaky. At home, I had a pretty big loss a few weeks ago. I lost one of my dogs that I grew up with and it is a little hard for me to think about getting better without him here by my side. I plan on making him proud and pushing through this journey for him.. My appointment on Monday as far as I know, consists of taking my cast off, pins out, molding my foot for a brace, and then recasting me until the brace is made. I'm hoping that I'll be able to put pressure on my foot after this appointment. It's pretty dang hard to not walk for a month. I will make sure to let you guys know how it goes, and hopefully, everything goes as planned!!
