I know this is a couple weeks overdue, but I have an update you all want to hear. In my last post, I told you guys that Bernadette (my service dog) was coming to my house to meet my two dogs, sadly that didn't happen that week BUT it happened today! Let me just tell you, it went super well! She gets along wonderfully with the two boys. Along with that, the women who has been training Bernadette, Jess, told me that she can now be placed with me as soon as Christmas!! As you can imagine, I am over the moon about this. My mom and I have made the decision that we are going to wait until after the holidays to make her a part of our family. Once she is with me, I will train with Jess and Bernadette once a week for a couple months and strengthen our bond together and I can't wait.
Also, I told you in my previous post that I was meeting with my doctor for a checkup and I got good news from her as well. I was molded for a shorter and lighter brace! Out with the old in with the new! She told me everything looks great and that if I so choose I don't even have to wear the brace anymore. I go back to Shriners to pick up the new brace this week, and I'll make sure to share a photo with you guys!
I hope you are all as excited as I am about this. What a way to kick off the holiday season!! Thank you all for your positive thoughts and prayers.
Talk to you all soon!
Keep spreading some love!
Also feel free to donate to my service pup and our journey together!
